Post graduation; I began my career with
The Times of India – English language daily newspaper
in India that has the widest circulation among all English
language broadsheets in the country. After working there
in various positions, I decided to move into client servicing
at Impulse Advertising. |
New projects at The Times of India lured me back with a challenging
role and some exciting projects which included product development,
product innovation, film promotions through contests and I was
responsible for generating revenues in this challenging niche
products category.

It was now time for me to move on…this
time it was India Abroad. India Abroad is published, printed,
and distributed throughout the U.S. and Canada. I represented
them in India as a Chief Manager – Advertising Sales
and generated revenues from India. |
I was head hunted by India Abroad to spearhead all advertising
sales and market penetration efforts in the Indian subcontinent
for the oldest Asian-Indian publication in North America (acquired
by Rediff.com). I negotiated relationships, contracts, and media
plans in the Indian market.

From here, I moved to Dubai, UAE to Gulf
News where I was selected for challenging assignments
at this UAE-based company that publishes Gulf News (the
leading English-language newspaper in the region) and
other magazines that serve various niches. |
As Account Group Manager, I drove advertising sales for various
special reports right from their inception, including local
reports (Automobiles, Banking, Earthwatch, Cookery Book) and
overseas country reports (U.K., Switzerland, France, Canada)
and many other initiatives.
Later as Advertising Sales Manager was responsible for XPRESS
the weekly tabloid for a period of one year and later was in
charge of three niche brands – InsideOut, Aquarius, and
Sport Extra – with an emphasis on cultivating market opportunities
and selling to advertising agencies, existing clients, and potential
advertisers alongside a six-person team.

My independent venture, All Directions
Media is a Media Represenation outfit which specializes
in offering complete marketing solutions to its clients
whether overseas or local in the Middle East region.
